on the Brouckèreplein, with on top the video billboard of Coca-Cola,
is a prominent LANDMARK.
It dominates the boulevards
Anspach and Maurice Lemonnierand
and can be seen until the
South Station of Brussels
The video content of ZOETROPE 9b4h is a combination of text grafics, video-art, music-visualizers and animation. Combined with live video captering of people in the public. Created by the Zoetrope collective
EXTRA: for NUIT BLANCHE we add old cinema animations, like Felix the Cat (1919); studies of running horses, like Horserun (1878); the first street movies (1901); famous movie grafics and iconic movie music themes, like Pulp Fiction, Psycho, James Bond, The Pink Panther, …

We want to integrate the

in our installation
This gives us and NUIT BLANCHE the opportunity to turn the billboard, on certain moments, into a information board and the ZOETROPE 9b4h into
a “Information Kiosk” ...

ZOETROPE 9b4h. The Zoetrope is a interactive lighting installation with contemporary interactive video art. It consists of 9 video-monolites of 90 x 270 cm drafted in a circle. Our Zoetrope is a contemporary re-creation of the first ‘moving pictures device’: the Zoetrope, invented in 1834 by the British mathematician William George Horner

The Interactive Collective Zoetrope is s agroup of specialists from various disciplines. They work together in a open structure, and add their capabilities to the project.
